Un Sedicesimo Reaches 60 Issues with Exhibition at Mantua's Biblioteca Teresiana
The Italian independent publication Un Sedicesimo, edited by Pietro Corraini and published by Corraini Edizioni in Mantua, has reached its 60th issue, celebrating nine years since its 25th issue in 2012. The magazine, a 16-page booklet in a 17x24 cm format optimized for offset printing without waste, invites designers, illustrators, photographers, artists, architects, and visionaries to freely use its pages. To mark the milestone, the exhibition "Un Sedicesimo. 60 e più progetti, 1000 connessioni" runs until June 23 at the Biblioteca Teresiana in Mantua, where each issue dialogues with the library's historic book collection—for example, Gianluigi Toccafondo's issue inspired by Edgar Allan Poe's "The Murders in the Rue Morgue" is displayed alongside Baudelaire's 1883 translation of Poe's "Histoires Grotesques." Corraini describes the project as a permanent laboratory for both emerging and established talents. The publication sells for €5 per issue.
