(un)fair 2023: Milan's Anti-Fair Returns with Emerging Art and a Minigolf Course

The second edition of (un)fair, Milan's alternative art fair, runs from March 3 to 5, 2023, at Superstudio Maxi. Over sixty galleries present emerging artists with prices ranging from a few hundred to a few thousand euros, targeting millennial collectors. International participation is strong, with galleries from Kyiv, Kyoto, Hong Kong, and Istanbul representing at least 30% of exhibitors. Notable stands include Candy Snake (Milan) featuring Naomi Gilon and Marco Mastropieri, OnStream Gallery with Michele Galli's erotic paintings, and Gaze Off (Lugano) by Guido Tognola and Franco Marinotti. The exhibition design by Andrea Isola emphasizes visual identity and spatial experience. Artist and memer Giulio Alvigini (from Tortona) presents his board game "Il Giro del Mondo dell'Arte" at Bonobolabo gallery, with a life-sized version installed in the fair aisles. The talk program, curated by Forme Uniche (directed by Marco Roberto Marelli), covers emerging and sustainable collecting, residencies, and art prizes. The fair also features a minigolf course, yoga, and tarot readings, reinforcing its playful, anticonventional ethos.
