Umberto Croppi appointed new director of Federculture
Umberto Croppi has been appointed the new director of Federculture, effective February 1. Croppi, former Assessor for Culture of Rome and current President of the Fondazione La Quadriennale di Roma, was already a member of Federculture's Executive Board chaired by Andrea Cancellato. He succeeds Claudio Bocci, who retired. Croppi's mandate will last about 18 months, aligning with Cancellato's term, to facilitate a transition and train a younger successor. Federculture will reintegrate activities from its spin-off Federculture Servizi, focusing on institutional representation and policy proposals. The federation aims to expand its membership to include design and publishing sectors, and to extend its specific labor contract to more cultural professionals. Key priorities include tax issues and the Art Bonus.
