Umberto Ciceri's Lenticular Works Unveiled at Four Seasons DIFC's MINA Brasserie

Three lenticular works by Italian Spanish-based artist Umberto Ciceri—Transcendance No.518, Spinlife Series No.844, and Theta No.877—have been installed at MINA Brasserie in Four Seasons Hotel DIFC, Dubai, as part of an ongoing collaboration between the hotel and Opera Gallery. The partnership, which previously featured sculptures by Anthony James and Valay Shende, aims to enrich the guest experience and elevate Dubai's art profile, according to hotel manager Renan Astolpho. Opera Gallery director Sylvain Gaillard noted that Ciceri's dynamic artwork suits the lively restaurant. Ciceri, who began his practice in 2007, explores neurophysiology of perception, biology of sight, and physics of color through neuroaesthetic studies and audiovisual projections. His lenticular prints create motion from stillness, with the exhibited pieces depicting a ballerina, a state of feeling, and spinning lavender hues. Ciceri has participated in the 54th Venice Biennale and his works are in private collections worldwide. Opera Gallery, founded in 2004, now has 12 locations globally and represents artists including Hans Hartung, Pierre Soulages, and Jean-Michel Basquiat. MINA Brasserie is helmed by award-winning chef Michael Mina.
