UMA Collective Designs Camarate School with Community Library

UMA Collective, led by Rui Cruz, has designed the new Basic School with Kindergarten No. 5 in Camarate, Loures, Portugal. The 1,731 m² educational facility, set for completion in 2026, includes a publicly accessible School Library intended to blur boundaries between the school and the community. The project aims to promote local urban regeneration and social development. The team includes coordination by Jónatas Lareiro, project team member João Gaspar, project management by PROFICO, engineering consulting by ACRIBIA, landscape architecture by CARPA, and general construction by Ferreira Build Power.
