Ulteriore Launches EDIZIONE 26 with Three Open Calls
Ulteriore, a platform for photography and visual arts, has announced EDIZIONE 26 for 2026, themed 'No Place Is Too Far – Nessun luogo è lontano'. The program includes exhibitions, workshops, residencies, and meetings, building relationships between artists, institutions, and the territory. It stems from a reflection on distance—geographical, cultural, technological, and perceptual—starting from Reggio Calabria, where distance is a concrete experience of marginality. Three open calls are launched: Lyra, Andromeda, and Cassiopea, named after constellations visible in the Mediterranean sky. Lyra, in collaboration with the Museo Archeologico Nazionale di Reggio Calabria, is for visual artists exploring image, language, and communication; selected projects will be exhibited from July 3 to 19, 2026, with applications open until May 26, 2026. Andromeda, in partnership with GAL Terre Locridee and the Museo e Parco Archeologico Nazionale di Locri Epizefiri, targets artists working with photography and visual practices in relation to space and context; the exhibition runs from August 2 to September 2, 2026, with applications due May 26, 2026. Cassiopea is a residency in Cataforio (Reggio Calabria) at the foot of the Aspromonte, from June 8 to 14, 2026, for site-specific projects in visual arts, with applications open until May 20, 2026.
