ukyo X Café by Maria Schunn Opens in Cluj-Napoca

Maria Schunn has designed ukyo X, a hybrid café, listening bar, and cultural space in a historic storefront in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. The 200 m² interior, completed in 2026, features sliding glass doors that open entirely to the pedestrian street, making the space an extension of the public realm. The project includes acoustic consultants H.A.N.D. HI FI and manufacturers Borodi Design, Mark Oliver Studio, and Structowood. It is the third location of the ukyo brand, situated in the old city center known for its historical layers and active street life.
