Ukrainian Women's Combat Unit Operates Drones at Frontline

An all-female Ukrainian drone unit is operating near the city of Zaporizhzhia at the east-southeast front. Women were banned from active combat until a few years ago, but now they pilot kamikaze drones carrying two kilograms of explosives. The unit works from an underground shaft, using joysticks and screens to navigate, with commands like "two degrees left" from the commander. Signal disruptions are common.
