UK Rapper Yung Filly Acquitted of Rape Charges in Australia

On Friday, a jury in Western Australia declared UK rapper Yung Filly, whose real name is Andres Felipe Valencia Barrientos, not guilty of three rape charges stemming from an incident in 2024 following his performance at a nightclub in Hillarys, Perth. He was acquitted of one count of assault occasioning bodily harm and strangulation but was convicted on two counts of assault occasioning bodily harm. The jury was unable to reach a decision on three other rape allegations. Barrientos, who maintained his innocence, was emotional upon hearing the verdict. He is currently out on bail until sentencing on August 21. The alleged victim accused him of biting and trying to choke her after consensual intercourse. Barrientos boasts 1.8 million subscribers on YouTube and 2.4 million followers on Instagram.
