A British funeral director is facing potential imprisonment after authorities discovered 31 decaying bodies in a cold storage facility that were supposed to have been cremated months prior, along with more than 100 sets of ashes. The controversy came to light when a former employee referred to Robert Bush's funeral home as a 'horror scene.' During a five-day sentencing hearing at Hull Crown Court in northeast England, Prosecutor Chris Paxton outlined the disturbing evidence. The bodies were found uncovered on racks, in various stages of decay, including a stillborn infant that had remained there for nearly two years. Additionally, families received ashes that did not belong to their loved ones, prompting demands for improved oversight of the funeral sector.
