UIA Announces 2026 Gold Medal and Triennial Prize Winners

The International Union of Architects (UIA) has revealed the recipients of the 2026 UIA Gold Medal and Triennial Prizes. Eduardo Souto de Moura is honored with the UIA Gold Medal, recognizing his career characterized by intellect and social commitment. Paola Viganò is the recipient of the Patrick Abercrombie Prize for Urbanism and Design. The Auguste Perret Prize for Technology in Architecture goes to Fetdeterra. Jacques Gubler is recognized with the Jean Tschumi Prize for Architectural Writing. Song Yehao is awarded the Robert Matthew Prize for Sustainable and Humane Environments. Caravatti Caravatti Architetti receives the Vassilis Sgoutas Prize, while Cierto Estudio is honored with the inaugural UIA Prize for Young Architects.
