Ugo Nespolo designs sustainable glassware for Coop supermarket promotion
Italian artist Ugo Nespolo has created a collection of sustainable glassware and home accessories for the supermarket chain Coop, produced by historic Italian companies RCR and Mirabello. The Art-Ecò by Nespolo line includes original-design wine glasses, decorated tumblers with precious effects, multifunctional vases, sinuous bottles, and a decorative cloth in digitally printed organic cotton satin. From September 9 to December 1, 2021, customers receive one stamp for every €15 spent on Vivi Verde or sponsor products, which can be exchanged for items with a small contribution. Requests must be made by December 19, 2021. RCR produces the glassware with reduced carbon footprint, using renewable energy and no fume emissions, while Mirabello holds Oeko Tex Standard 100 certification for safe, chemically responsible textile production.
