Ugo Nespolo Designs 12 Unique Ski Jackets for Charity
Italian artist Ugo Nespolo has created 12 unique ski jackets for Turin-based sportswear brand JAAM Just About A Minute, each hand-painted with his signature multicolor forms. The jackets will be sold online from December 25, 2025 to January 29, 2026 at €3,000 each, with proceeds benefiting the Fondazione Piemontese per la Ricerca sul Cancro in Candiolo. The project, titled "The Hidden Gallery," features Nespolo's reinterpretations of his historic paintings—including "Museo Matisse," "Volti e Maschere," and "La Musique"—printed on the inner lining of each jacket, which is made from Alcantara. This marks the first ski jacket in Alcantara and the first to incorporate an original artwork. The collaboration has deep roots: JAAM owner Roberto Gugliermetto is the son of Pier Giorgio Gugliermetto, co-founder of the iconic radical design brand GUFRAM (founded in Turin in 1966). As a child, Roberto grew up with a wooden inlay painting created by Nespolo in 1961, which his father cut. Nespolo had previously worked with GUFRAM, designing a margherita table alongside creative director Giuseppe Raimondi. The capsule collection embodies Nespolo's belief that art should not remain static but be worn and lived.
