Ugo Bienvenu's Sci-Fi Drawings at Galerie Martel

Galerie Martel in Paris presents a solo exhibition of French artist Ugo Bienvenu from May 7 to July 25, 2026. The show brings together drawings, plates, projections, and new works spanning his career in animation, comics, advertising, music videos, and fashion. Bienvenu, who studied at Estienne, Les Gobelins, Les Arts décoratifs, and CalArts, grew up between Central America and Africa. His graphic novel 'Préférence système' (Denoël, 2019) follows a robot secretly preserving human memory. The exhibition reveals a unified narrative across media, with influences from Miyazaki, Spirou, and Mexican street art. Bienvenu uses science fiction to question the present and digital anxiety.
