UCM Seminar on Artistic Circulation Between Italy and Spain

The research group CIRCON at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid (UCM) is organizing an international seminar titled "Arte en viaje. Circulación y transferencias entre Italia y España" on June 3, 2026. The event will take place at the Facultad de Geografía e Historia, Aula 7, and is free to attend until capacity is reached. Presentations include topics such as the Primada 2026 exhibition on Toledo Cathedral, patronage in the Early Modern period, Pablo de Céspedes and Cesare Arbasia, Venetian painting in Baroque Spain, Italian sculptors at the court of Charles II, women artists in Spanish Milan, and Luca Giordano's immacolista cause. Speakers include Javier Martínez de Aguirre, Benito Navarrete Prieto, Diana Olivares Martínez, Federica Perugini, Alejandro del Pozo, Antonio Geremicca, Alejandro Elizalde, Emma Ferrari, Mariateresa Palazzo, and Mauro Vincenzo Fontana. Institutional presentations will be given by Dean María Cruz Cardete del Olmo and Department Director Matteo Mancini.
