UCL launches MSc in Creativity, Innovation and Leadership with industry backing

UCL's School of Management has introduced a new one-year MSc in Creativity, Innovation and Leadership (CIL), timed with the university's 200th anniversary. The programme aims to bridge creative and commercial skills, targeting 60 students per cohort. It features eight core modules including creative problem solving, design thinking, and leading high-performance teams. An advisory board from Adobe, Ogilvy, IDEO, and YouTube shapes the curriculum. Students work with a certified leadership coach and a storyteller-in-residence. Dr Jennifer Lynch, an associate professor with a PhD in the psychology of creativity and experience at McKinsey & Company, leads the programme. The MSc is based in London's Canary Wharf. Applications for the September 2026 intake are open until 26 June 2026 for visa-requiring students and 28 August 2026 for others. Tuition is £35,400, with scholarships including The Director's Academic Excellence Scholarship, the Pousaz Family Scholarship, and six full East London Scholarships covering tuition plus a £17,096 living stipend (deadline 25 June 2026).
