UBTech's U1 Humanoids: 13,361 Orders, Deliveries Start September 16

As of June 30, Shenzhen's UBTech Robotics has secured 13,361 orders for its U1 series of consumer humanoid robots, just weeks after launching pre-sales in early June. The first units are set to be delivered starting September 16. The U1 series features three variations—Lite, Pro, and Ultra—priced between 119,800 yuan and 990,000 yuan, catering to different needs from partial-body models to full-sized humanoids. These robots are designed for emotional companionship, boasting facial expressions, voice capabilities, and AI-enhanced conversations, though they currently cannot handle household tasks. One customer, Song, who acquired the female U1 Pro, expressed that the excitement of waiting adds to the experience. UBTech is pioneering the shift from industrial to domestic robotics in China, focusing on natural human interaction.
