UAM and Reina Sofía launch microcredential in intercultural mediation for art contexts

The Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM) and the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía (MNCARS) offer a university microcredential titled "Mediación intercultural y plurilingüe en contextos artísticos" (Intercultural and Plurilingual Mediation in Artistic Contexts). The program aims to develop skills in intercultural mediation for museums and art spaces, incorporating linguistic diversity to foster a more equitable and plural experience of contemporary art. Directed by Laura Villa Galán and codirected by Luisa Martín Rojo, the course includes four modules covering cultural access, intercultural mediation theory and practice, legal and management aspects, and the design of a mediation project. Faculty includes Ana Vidal González, Ainhoa Oyarbide Elosegui, Sara Buraya Boned (all from MNCARS), and Hanan Dalouh Amghar (Asociación Zaidan). Sessions run Wednesdays from September 9 to December 16, 2026, 17:30–20:30, at the Reina Sofía Museum. Tuition is €70 (€63 for UAM students and alumni). Enrollment is via fuam.es. Capacity is 20 students. Evaluation: 40% attendance/participation, 60% autonomous work and final practical exercise.
