UAE and Global Art Initiatives Raise Funds for Gaza Relief

Cultural institutions and artists in the UAE and worldwide have launched initiatives to support Palestine and raise funds for Gaza relief. The Emirates Red Crescent's Tarahum – For Gaza campaign includes an online platform, in-kind donation centers, and volunteering opportunities across the UAE, with Alserkal Avenue and its gallery community participating. Art Dubai will donate AED 25 entrance fees from Downtown Design visitors to the campaign. 421 and Reel Palestine present Palestinian Cinema Days (26–29 October) with proceeds to Emirates Red Crescent. The Flip Side hosts Voices for Palestine (28 October) with Haya’s Kitchen and The Workshop Dubai. Gulf Photo Plus offers a free PALESTINE FOREVER Flick Camera by artist Bayan Dahdah for donations of AED 90 or more. Online sales include Prints for Palestine by Gallery Bawa x Mathqaf with Gulf Photo Plus (23–31 October, benefiting Kuwait Red Crescent Society), Emergeast Art Drive for Palestine (18 October–8 November), Pictures for Palestine by Saria Chatila and Zeina J Haish (23–30 October), and Artists for Watermelons (date TBA, aiding Medical Aid for Palestinians and Palestine Children’s Relief Fund). Other Cinemas presents Six Films for Palestine (23 October–22 November). Free Palestine Project offers free downloadable posters. In-kind donations at Alserkal Avenue are temporarily suspended due to overwhelming response; cash donations still accepted.
