U2's New Music Video Collaborates with Israeli Street Art Group Broken Fingaz

U2's new single "Get Out Of Your Own Way" from their album "Songs of Experience" (December 2017) features a music video created in collaboration with Broken Fingaz, an Israeli street art collective. The video, shot entirely in analog using stop-motion animation, juxtaposes paper stills depicting figures like the Ku Klux Klan and Donald Trump. Bono Vox praised the group to The Art Newspaper, calling them "very smart and skilled at finding good solutions." The song includes a passage from the Gospel of Matthew recited by Kendrick Lamar in the persona of Donald Trump. Broken Fingaz, formed in 2001 in Haifa, Israel, remain anonymous due to the controversial social themes in their work. They recently exhibited "Kibushi" at the Urban Nation Museum in Berlin, exploring the experience of youth raised in Israel amid Western cultural influence and constant fear. The collective has also created a mural in Haifa depicting a futuristic train station as a symbol of freedom and equal rights, referencing the city's historical role as a railway junction between Arab countries and England.
