Two suspects dead after shooting at Islamic Centre of San Diego

According to a police source who requested anonymity, two individuals involved in a shooting at the Islamic Centre of San Diego on Monday have died. Earlier reports indicated that several individuals were shot at the mosque, situated approximately 14 km north of downtown San Diego. As the largest mosque in San Diego County, the Islamic Centre also houses the Al Rashid School, which offers classes in Arabic, Islamic studies, and the Quran. Aerial footage captured over a dozen children being escorted from the parking lot, with numerous police vehicles present. The mosque is located in an area filled with residential homes, apartments, and Middle Eastern eateries. Governor Gavin Newsom's office confirmed he is receiving updates, but no additional information has been disclosed.
