Two New York exhibitions explore cyborgs and devotion through contemporary art

In late 2015, New York hosted two group exhibitions curated by William Corwin that explored different themes. The "Cyborg" exhibition, held at Zürcher Gallery from December 1 to 29, showcased artists including Juliana Huxtable, Frank Benson, Michel Huelin, Cordy Ryman, Tamar Ettun, and Corwin himself. Meanwhile, "Devotion" took place at Catinca Tabacaru Gallery from November 21, 2015, to January 17, 2016, featuring works by Roxy Paine, Elizabeth Kley, Serra Victoria Bothwell Fels, Rico Gatson, and Mike Ballou, along with icons from the Tabacaru family’s Russian and Romanian collection. A sculpture by Benson and Huxtable served as a link between the two exhibitions, representing the balance of human intent and natural elegance. "Cyborg" was located at 33 Bleecker Street, while "Devotion" was at 250 Broome Street.
