Two New Exhibitions at MAXXI L'Aquila Merge Art and Science
MAXXI L'Aquila is showcasing two exhibitions that delve into the intersection of art and science. The first, titled 'In Itinere' and curated by Bartolomeo Pietromarchi and Fanny Borel, partners with Museo Nazionale d’Abruzzo, Gran Sasso Science Institute, and INFN Gran Sasso National Laboratories, taking visitors on a journey from prehistory to dark matter. In Forte Spagnolo, Masbedo presents video works utilizing a dynamic camera technique, while Claudia Pajewski's 'Bias' features photographs of mammoth remains discovered near L'Aquila in 1954. Additionally, Armin Linke's 'Gran Sasso' artistically explores physical laws. The second exhibition, 'Di roccia, fuochi e avventure sotterranee,' curated by Alessandro Dandini de Sylva, showcases 120 photographs by Fabio Barile, Andrea Botto, Marina Caneve, Alessandro Imbriaco, and Francesco Neri, taken between 2019 and 2020.
