Two Italian Rascals, a semiannual print magazine founded in 2022 by Vincenzo Elifani and Skye Darukhanavala, debuted its third issue 'American Dream' in June 2024. The publication originated from an Instagram page launched in 2020, which the founders found inadequate for conveying the essence of photographic series due to social media's speed. The magazine prioritizes text alongside images, using interviews to amplify the stories behind photographs. 'American Dream' features fifteen photographers including Mike Brodie, Ava Campana, Kovi Konowiecki, Roger Minick, and Melissa Spitz, exploring the complexities of the American experience from metropolises to ghost towns, county fairs to school shootings, and LGBTQ+ communities to the Ku Klux Klan. The cover image by Jacob Holdt, from his series American Pictures, depicts a Black woman flipping off a billboard with white women in lingerie, addressing systemic racism.
