festival-fair · 2026-04-27

In Bergamo, the Maestri del Paesaggio/Landscape Festival transforms Piazza Vecchia into a garden designed by Cassian Schmidt, featuring over 80 trees and 7,000 perennials. For the first time, the Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences collaborated, focusing on Forgotten Landscapes like alluvial forests. The project addresses urban heat and water absorption by de-cementing spaces. In Ferrara, Interno Verde opens private gardens of historic and contemporary buildings to the public since 2016. The festival includes dance performances by Teatro Comunale Claudio Abbado, workshops on biodiversity and pollinators, and emphasizes urban regeneration through ecology and sustainability.
