Two exhibitions and a book document Italy's lockdown through photography
The Foreign Press Association in Italy is currently presenting an exhibition titled 'LOCKDOWN ITALIA visto dalla Stampa Estera' at the Musei Capitolini in Rome. This showcase features over 70 photographs taken by 30 different photojournalists, capturing the pandemic experience from the March lockdown through to the summer reopening. The exhibition, which is organized by the Association, will be available to the public until November 1, 2020. Meanwhile, another exhibit called 'L'inizio del futuro' is set to run at Villa Bottini’s Archivio Fotografico Lucchese from November 21 to January 10, 2021, highlighting works from emerging Italian photographers. Additionally, Emilia Giorgi's book, 'Giorni come Stanze. Riappropriarsi della città,' includes urban reflections during the lockdown, featuring contributions from various photographers and designed by Studio Folder.
