Two-Day London Event Confronts Art World Social Inequalities Through Talks and Screenings
Curator and ArtReview contributor Mike Watson has initiated 'The Elephant in the Room' to address social disparities within the art sector. Collaboratively curated with Dorian Batycka and Seemab Gul', this event will take place at Open School East on December 10 and at the Royal College of Art on December 11, 2015. Central themes include the rise of a 'universal class' among marginalized workers and art's influence on class awareness. The program on December 10 features film screenings by Fiamma Montezemolo, Alessandro Rolandi, Channa Boon, and Oliver Ressler with Ana Pecar, followed by discussions.
