Twiggy Documentary by Sadie Frost Hits UK Cinemas March 7

A new documentary titled "Twiggy" directed by Sadie Frost will be released in UK cinemas on March 7. The film, produced by British studio Film Soho, uses virtual production and metaverse technologies from Disguise and Hadean to allow the present-day Twiggy to converse with her 1960s self. It premiered at the London Film Festival and features archival footage narrated by Twiggy, along with interviews with Dustin Hoffman, Brooke Shields, Joanna Lumley, her husband Leigh Lawson, Erin O'Connor, Paul McCartney, Lulu, Poppy Delavigne, Pattie Boyd, and Zandra Rhodes. The documentary explores Twiggy's career and personal story, highlighting how she defied conventional beauty standards. Discovered at age 16 by Justin de Villeneuve, who became her partner and manager, Lesley Hornby was nicknamed "Twiggy" for her slim figure. She graced covers of Vogue, Elle, Tatler, Seventeen, and Interview, and was chosen by Mary Quant to model the miniskirt, making it a symbol of female emancipation.
