Tuwaiq Sculpture 2026 brings 25 international artists to Riyadh for live public art creation

The upcoming seventh edition of Tuwaiq Sculpture is set to take place in Riyadh from January 12 to February 22, 2026. This event will showcase the work of 25 artists hailing from 18 different nations, who will produce large-scale public artworks along Tahlia Street. Under the theme 'Traces of What Will Be,' the symposium emphasizes transformation using locally sourced Saudi granite, reclaimed metal, and stainless steel. The finished sculptures will become part of Riyadh Art's permanent collection, enriching the city's public art scene. Director Sarah Alruwayti underscores the focus on artistic processes and community involvement, while the historical relevance of Tahlia Street connects to environmental innovation. The event will also feature discussions on public art and sculptural practices, supporting Riyadh Art's mission to weave art into everyday life.
