Tutundjian and Di Fabio in Dialogue at Fondation Bullukian, Lyon
Until February 23, 2019, the Fondation Bullukian in Lyon hosts a dual solo exhibition titled Tutundjian / Di Fabio, juxtaposing works by Léon Tutundjian (1905–1968) and Alberto Di Fabio (born 1966). Tutundjian, a founder of the Concrete Art and Abstraction-Creation movements, blended abstract and surrealist painting, exploring contrasts such as emotional-rational, organic-inorganic, and natural-artificial. Di Fabio, working in a different era, fills his canvases with references to astrology and biology, micro and macrocosm. Together, their works create a visionary, dreamlike universe where empirical research meets spirituality. The exhibition runs from January 19 to February 23, 2019, at 26 Place Bellecour, Lyon 69002, open Tuesday to Friday 2–6:30 PM and Saturday 1–7 PM.
