TUTTA BASE: 36-hour non-stop festival of bodies and arts in Milan

Base Milano launches TUTTA BASE, a summer-long project opening with 36 continuous hours of music, concerts, workshops, and performances from June 7 to 9, 2024. The festival centers on bodies, desire, and pleasure, offering workshops in lithography, tango, pole dance, botany, yoga, tattooing, and tantric tarot reading. It aims to create a safe space for self-exploration, sexual education, and shared knowledge. The event also presents the work of artists from the residency "Gli spazi del piacere" supported by MIC and SIAE. Artists include Rooy Charlie Lana, Valerie Tameu, Edoardo Mozzanega, and Alice Giuliani. Valerie Tameu's performance "Dove hanno tremato le placche" explores migrant identity through dance; Giorgia Ohanesian Nardin blurs dialogue and physical practice; Alice Giuliani's "A.ROOM.POURED.OVER.ME" addresses ableist gaze on disabled bodies; Edoardo Mozzanega's "Dream of a tiger" creates a dreamlike space; Rooy Charlie Lana's "Nei porno non piove" examines compulsive pornography use. Additional performances by Centro Benessere and Ho sonno (Ruben Camillas and Giulio Escalona) induce a zero-degree perception state. The program includes a photography exhibition curated by Perimetro and a short film selection "The Cut-out Body" by Cinema Parentesi, focusing on body and sexuality. Nighttime music is curated by Le Cannibale. The festival runs from sunset on June 7 to dawn on June 9.
