Tuscany's 2026 Summer Season: New Hotels, Renovations, and Exclusive Experiences

Tuscany is introducing a wave of new hotel openings, renovations, and bespoke experiences for the 2026 summer season. Rosewood's Castiglion del Bosco offers a Palio di Siena Experience with VIP access to a private palace on July 2 and August 16, plus summer festivals, truffle expeditions, and helicopter vineyard tours. Pieve Aldina in Chianti, a 16th-century former bishop's residence turned 22-room hotel, opens a second swimming pool in May 2026. Villa San Michele, a Belmond Hotel overlooking Florence, reopens on April 28 after an 18-month renovation by Luigi Fragola Architects, restoring Renaissance frescoes and gardens with local artisans. Castello di Vicarello debuts Villa La Vedetta, a renovated 12th-century watchtower villa, and partners with Copihue Atelier for perfume-making classes and a local pilot for curated flights. Borgo Santo Pietro celebrates 25 years with new openings: La Bottega grocery in May, L'Osteria del Borgo in June, and Locanda del Borgo later in 2026. W Florence introduces Zefiro Rooftop bar with panoramic views and DJ sets. Chapter Chianti, a 82-room luxury resort designed by Tristan du Plessis, opens in June 2026 with three restaurants by Michelin-starred chef Vincenzo Martella. La Darbia in Chianti, a sister property of La Darbia on Lake Garda, opens with 17 suites in restored farmhouses. La Roqqa on Monte Argentario offers a contemporary boutique hotel and beach club. Hotel Il Pellicano on the coast features an ISSIMO boutique and new experiences.
