Tuscan Museums Reopen with Free Entry and New Exhibitions
As Italy progresses to Phase 2 of its COVID-19 reopening, museums in Tuscany are ready to receive guests under stringent safety protocols. The Centro per l'Arte Contemporanea Luigi Pecci in Prato has reopened, offering free admission until June 3, showcasing 'The Missing Planet' (available until August 23) along with new pieces by Adrian Paci and Ren Hang. In Florence, the Opera di Santa Maria del Fiore has reopened its locations with complimentary entry until the end of May, although the Cupola del Brunelleschi will remain closed until June 18. The Giardino di Boboli has reopened, requiring masks and limiting groups to a maximum of 10. Additionally, the Museo di Palazzo Pretorio in Prato and Museo del Tessuto have reopened with extended exhibitions. Sebastião Salgado's 'Exodus' will be on display at Fondazione Pistoia Musei until July 26.
