Turner Prize 2018 shortlist features four artists with moving image focus

The shortlist for the 2018 Turner Prize features Forensic Architecture, Naeem Mohaiemen, Charlotte Prodger, and Luke Willis Thompson, as revealed today. An exhibition will commence at Tate Britain on 25 September. Forensic Architecture earned its nomination for displays at the ICA in London, MACBA in Barcelona, and MUAC in Mexico. Based in Dakar and New York, Mohaiemen produces research-driven films showcased at Documenta and had a solo exhibition at MoMA PS1. Prodger is noted for her work at Bergen Kunsthall, while Thompson created a film portrait of Diamond Reynolds exhibited at Chisenhale. The jury comprises Elena Filipovic, Lisa Le Feuvre, Tom McCarthy, and Oliver Basciano. Each nominee receives £5,000, with the winner announced in December receiving an extra £25,000.
