Turin's OGR Opens with 'Like a Moth to a Flame' Exhibition Celebrating Art Collection
In the fall of 2017, the Visual Arts Program at OGR arts center in Turin will launch with the exhibition 'Like a Moth to a Flame.' Curated by Liam Gillick, Tom Eccles, and Mark Rappolt, this event marks the 25th anniversary of the Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo's collection. The exhibition showcases over 50 pieces, ranging from a 2nd century BCE Egyptian sculpture to contemporary works from the latest Venice Biennale. The title draws inspiration from a Latin riddle by Virgil, as well as contributions from Guy Debord and Cerith Wyn Evans. OGR Torino, which opens on 30 September 2017, offers a vast 20,000 square-metre space dedicated to arts and innovation, with future exhibitions featuring Tino Sehgal and Susan Hiller, alongside performances by Giorgio Moroder and Kraftwerk.
