Turin Museums Hit Record Visitors in 2022, Focus Shifts to Quality

In 2022, Turin's museums experienced unprecedented visitor numbers, fueled by a robust cultural agenda and the resurgence of tourism. The Egyptian Museum recorded 898,500 guests, exceeding its 2019 attendance. Fondazione Torino Musei noted 154,000 visits to GAM, nearly 100,000 to MAO, and over 243,000 to Palazzo Madama. MAUTO achieved a new high with 240,000 visitors, surpassing its previous record from 2011. Camera – Centro Italiano per la Fotografia attracted 71,000 guests, also exceeding its 2019 figures.
