TUM's 'Il rumore e il silenzio' Brings Underground Music to Turin
The cultural association TUM (Turin Underground Music), founded by Alessandro Gambo and Emiliano Comollo, organized a two-day event titled 'Il rumore e il silenzio' on June 25–26, 2021, in Turin. Supported by TOurDAYS and local partners Fluxlab and Bunker, the program included workshops and concerts. Workshops featured Livecoding with ORCA by Audio Hacklab and Field recording by O.F.F. Studio. The opening night peaked with a performance by the historic collective CCC CNC NCN (Chi C'è C'è, Chi Non C'è, Non Ce N'è), active since the mid-1980s, known for their DIY approach and rejection of professional labels. Their immersive show included percussive oil barrels and angle grinders, turning spectators into participants. Other performances included Black Seed's mystical rhythms, Ozmotic with Senza Tempo Ensemble's ambient drone, and Titta Bogatto's analog modulations. TUM plans future events at Bunker: release parties for Movie Star Junkies on July 2 and Indianizer on July 23.
