Tugboat Printshop Celebrates 20 Years of Woodblock Printmaking
Valerie Lueth's Tugboat Printshop marks its 20th anniversary this year. Lueth creates woodblock prints using up to five hand-carved blocks, each inked and layered precisely to form a complete image. Editions are typically limited to 100. Notable works include "Glowing Rose" (2024), a five-block woodcut on BFK tan paper measuring 24 x 15 inches; "Dangling Grapes" (2025), a four-block woodcut on BFK tan paper, 20 x 14 inches; and "Steadfast Turtle" (2025), a four-block woodcut on BFK tan paper, 11 x 14 inches.
