Tsuyoshi Tane's Sound of Marble Pavilion Opens at Ca' Del Bosco Sculpture Park

architecture-design · 2026-04-27

The sculpture park at Ca' Del Bosco, one of Italy's most renowned Franciacorta wineries, has added a new installation: Sound of Marble, a pavilion designed by Atelier Tsuyoshi Tane (ATTA). The structure, made of thin curvilinear marble walls that support each other in perfect balance, interacts with natural light, wind, and rain to evoke the ancestral qualities of stone. The park, initiated years ago based on a quote by enologist Luigi Veronelli that "wine is a real value that gives us the unreal," features works by Arnaldo Pomodoro (Cancello solare, 1987), Igor Mitoraj (Eroi di luce, 1991), CrackingArt (Blue Guardians, 2010), Bruno Romeda (L'elogio dell'ombra, 1994), Rabarama (Codice genetico), Radi Kirov (steel columns, 2014), Mimmo Paladino (Testimone, 2017), and Stefano Bombardieri (Il Peso del tempo sospeso, 2003). The pavilion, realized for Pibamarmi, embodies Tane's concept of "archeology of the future." This addition continues the winery's patronage of contemporary art, a trend seen across Italian wineries such as Ceretto, Castello di Ama, Frescobaldi, Cottanera, and Bortolomiol.
