Tsibi Geva's Israeli Pavilion at 2015 Venice Biennale to Feature Site-Specific Installation

exhibition · 2026-04-20

Tsibi Geva is set to showcase his work at the Israeli Pavilion during the 2015 Venice Biennale, featuring a site-specific installation that spans both the interior and exterior of the pavilion. His artistic expression will incorporate elements such as the Keffiyeh and terrazzo, along with a mix of found objects, sculptures, paintings, and video art. Geva's intention is to blur the lines between inside and outside, as well as high and low art, while contemplating Israel's intricate identity in the context of ongoing political issues. Chosen by a professional committee, he aims to encourage discussions surrounding immigration and multiculturalism. A poignant memory for Geva from the Biennale is from 1993, when his brother Avital exhibited while he was caring for their terminally ill father. The 2015 edition of the Venice Questionnaire was made available online by ArtReview on 5 May 2015.
