Trump threatens to 'blow up' Oman over Strait of Hormuz

President Donald Trump has issued a stark warning to Oman, suggesting that if the country aligns with Iran over the Strait of Hormuz, it could face an imminent attack. When asked about a potential short-term agreement that would allow joint control of the waterway by Iran and Oman, Trump made it clear that Oman needs to "behave" to avoid serious repercussions. During a recent cabinet meeting at the White House, he stated, "No, the strait is going to be open to everybody. It's international waters, and Oman will behave just like everybody else or we'll have to blow them up. They understand that; they'll be fine." The White House hasn't clarified whether Trump mistakenly referred to Oman instead of Iran. Oman is a key US ally and has a history of mediating in Middle Eastern conflicts.
