Tríptiko: Bosch-inspired multimedia concert becomes album

publication · 2026-04-27

The multimedia project Tríptiko, inspired by Hieronymus Bosch's paintings at the Museo del Prado, has been released as a music album. Conceived in 2019 by the band Fernweh, video artist Rino Stefano Tagliafierro, and Milanese visual design studio Karmachina, the project debuted at the Princess of Asturias Awards 2019 in Oviedo to celebrate the museum's bicentennial. It has since evolved into a concert (performed in 2019, 2021, and 2022), an audiovisual installation currently at Palazzo Reale in Milan for the exhibition 'Bosch e un altro Rinascimento' (open until March 12), and now an album. The installation features three projection surfaces echoing Bosch's triptych 'The Garden of Earthly Delights,' with a three-act structure. The album, recorded in September 2019 and mixed in the band's studio, was mastered by David Campanini at Soniclab Studio in La Spezia. Fernweh describes the soundtrack as 'surprisingly homogeneous' yet varied, blending calm moments with dark, rhythmic passages, abstract sounds, and lysergic melodies, representing their hybrid sound.
