Tripstillery Art Collection: Cocktail Bar Meets Contemporary Art in Milan

Elena Maccari, an art historian and critic with auction house experience, launches her first personal project merging business and art: Tripstillery Art Collection in Milan. The initiative invites emerging artists to create site-specific works for Tripstillery, Italy's first cocktail bar with an on-site distillery, run by Francesco Bonazzi. Selected artists Pablo Bermudez, Thomas Berra, Nicole Colombo, and Agnese Guido will present solo exhibitions (plus a final group show) curated alongside the bar team and Maccari. Each exhibition is paired with a TripGin limited edition of 90 bottles (9 unique), inspired by the artworks and crafted by master distiller Francesco Zini. The first show, from October 16 to November 10, 2024, features Pablo Bermudez (born 1988 in Pereira, Colombia) with "K_Kestine & Gintonic," exploring mass media imagery by incising faces from fashion magazine and comic covers with a cutter. Zini describes the gin's aromatic profile: chamomile and rose for softness, followed by lavender, mallow, and violet with a hint of salt, mirroring Bermudez's cut-paper details. Maccari states the collection aims to support emerging artists and create a dialogue space. The project underscores a growing trend of art-commerce collaborations in Milan.
