Triennale Milano launches architecture contest for 25,000 high school students

architecture-design · 2026-05-04

The Amici della Triennale, a nonprofit founded in 2016 by Elena Tettamanti and established in June 2018, has launched a new education initiative for high school students at Palazzo dell'Arte in Milan. Titled 'Architettura dei luoghi. Architettura di emozioni,' the project involves 200 schools and 25,000 students from licei to technical institutes. Of these, 2,500 will receive free admission cards to Triennale exhibitions and activities. Fifty students will be invited to create projects on Milan and its social context, using any artistic medium. Ten projects will be selected for exhibition at Triennale, with each student receiving a €1,000 culture voucher and the title of Triennale ambassador. Four lectures on art, architecture, design, and fashion will support university orientation. The initiative is funded by Giuseppe Caprotti, continuing the association's previous educational work with Assicurazioni Generali (2017) and WPP (2018) for university students and startups.
