Triennale Milano Hosts First European Don Bronstein Exhibition

The first European exhibition dedicated to the late photographer Don Bronstein, titled "Don Bronstein and the Jazz Scene in Chicago 1953–1968," is now being held at Triennale Milano. Bronstein, who died at 41 in Mexico in 1968 while working with Playboy, is celebrated for his captivating portraits of jazz and blues legends like Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald, and Miles Davis. He won a Grammy for the cover of Barbra Streisand's 1963 album and was the Art Director at Chess Records, creating over 500 album covers. Opened during Milan Design Week, the exhibit, curated by his daughter Julie Hillman, features items from the family archive and will run until May 17.
