Triennale Milano Fall 2024: Design and Fashion Intersect

Triennale Milano announces a fall 2024 program intertwining design and fashion, coinciding with Milan Fashion Week 2024. A new fashion department, led by Marco Sammicheli with scientific advice from Luca Stoppini, will study, exhibit, and promote fashion archives and educational pathways. From October 25, 2024, the Museo del Design Italiano will present a new exhibition route linking Italian and international fashion design with permanent collection pieces. A public program on September 21-22 features two evenings dedicated to photographer and filmmaker Bruce Weber. Exhibitions include 'Monica Bolzoni. Il modulo' (October 25, 2024 – January 12, 2025), curated by Sammicheli and Anna Di Cesare, focusing on the designer's work in clothing, accessories, jewelry, and interiors. 'Elio Fiorucci' retrospective (November 6, 2024 – March 16, 2025), curated by Judith Clark with exhibition design by Fabio Cherstich, honors the stylist, artist, and entrepreneur. Other shows: 'Gianni Politi. Le stelle per te, dentro' (September 28 – October 27, 2024), curated by Damiano Gullì; 'Ettore Sottsass. Architectures, Landscapes, Ruins' (October 2024 – April 2025), curated by Barbara Radice and Iskra Grisogono; 'Davide Allieri. After All' (November 14, 2024 – January 19, 2025), curated by Gullì; and 'Seçkin Pirim in Triennale' (November 20, 2024 – January 19, 2025), curated by Tommaso Tovaglieri. The season overlaps with ongoing shows on Alessandro Mendini, Gae Aulenti, and Inga Sempé.
