Tricky Announces New Album 'Different when it's silent' for July Release
Tricky will release his new album 'Different when it's silent' in July, marking his first full-length release under his original name since 2020. The English artist and producer, who has maintained a successful 31-year career since his 1995 debut 'Maxinquaye', has fourteen studio albums and his own label 'False Idols' to his name. Manager Alan McGee proposed the album after being impressed by material created during work on Marta's album 'Out the Way'. The album features 13 diverse tracks including the single 'Out of Place' with Marta, characterized by instrumental backing with guitar and electronic elements, plus the smoky vocals of singer Mitch Sanders creating a dark atmosphere. Before the album release, Tricky embarks on a European and UK tour in May and June, with German performances scheduled in Berlin, Hamburg, and Cologne. In recent years, Tricky has released projects under various names including 'Lonely Guest' and 'Fifteen Days'.
