Tribute Exhibition for Illustrator Elena Xausa at Gallerie d'Italia Vicenza

A tribute exhibition honoring Italian illustrator Elena Xausa, who passed away on November 27, 2022, is set to open at Gallerie d'Italia in Vicenza. Named 'EX – Illustri x Elena Xausa,' the event is organized by the cultural association Illustri, which also hosts the Illustri Festival. Curated by Francesco Poroli, the exhibit showcases 200 pieces categorized into thematic sections. The first section, 'EXperimenti,' reveals sketchbooks, ceramics, and sculptures for the first time, providing insight into her creative journey. 'EXpo' highlights her works from 2009 to 2019, featuring collaborations with notable publications like The New Yorker and Rolling Stone. The final section, 'EXnovo,' displays new creations by 100 illustrators inspired by Xausa, with proceeds benefiting AIRC (Italian Association for Cancer Research). The exhibition will be open until September 10 and includes various talks, workshops, and public meetings.
