Trevor Yeung transforms CAPC Bordeaux nave with wish tree, green light, and Chinese myth
Trevor Yeung, a Hong Kong artist born in 1988, has unveiled "Jardin des neuf soleils" at CAPC Bordeaux. This immersive installation invites guests to ascend a monumental scaffold, reaching the ceiling of the 1,000 m² nave, a first occurrence since 1973. The scaffold, designed to resemble a double rainbow, is adorned with bells and colorful ribbons for wish-making. The exhibition features two photographs of wish trees from China, including a plastic replica of a tree that fell in 2005. A green light casts the nave into a "vivarium." Referencing the Chinese myth of ten suns, it showcases nine "Chaotic Sun" sculptures and will be open from March 24, 2026, to September 20, 2026, at CAPC, 7 Rue Ferrere, 33000 Bordeaux.
