festival-fair · 2026-04-27

The Treviso Comic Book Festival (TCBF), one of Italy's longest-running comic events, returns for its 19th edition from September 23 to 25, 2022, after a two-year pandemic hiatus. The festival will take over the historic center of Treviso with 11 exhibitions (up from nine), a Mostra Mercato at the Museo Nazionale Collezione Salce, 15 workshops at BRAT, 15 talks, the Premio Carlo Boscarato awards, and hundreds of decorated shop windows. Notable exhibitions include a tribute to Lupo Alberto by Silver at Fondazione Benetton Studi e Ricerche, featuring contemporary artists Dottor Pira, Francesco Guarnaccia, and Nova; a solo show by Sarah Mazzetti at Palazzo Giacomelli (known for her work in The New Yorker and The New York Times); a solo show by Spanish artist Cristina Daura (this year's poster author) at Spazio Solido; Max de Radiguès at Dump; and Spanish duo Alba BG and Davilorium at Palazzo Robegan. The festival also includes live painting, music events, and book signings. Directors Sara Chissalè, Alberto Polita, and Nicola Ferrarese emphasized the combination of historic characters like Lupo Alberto with emerging international talent. City culture assessor Lavinia Colonna Preti praised the partnership with Museo Nazionale Collezione Salce.
